Today we will be showing you how to remove scratches from a car using a scratch repair pen. The vehicle needs to be washed and dry. So it is best to wash and dry
the car and let it sit over night in a garage to ensure that it is fully dry.
So to start it might be a good idea to locate all the scratches you would like to repair and mark them with some masking or painter’s tape to make them easier to find once you have the resin flowing. Once you have them all marked out you can open your repair pen. Once you have it opened you will need to shake it as it has a rattle ball in it like a paint can to mix the resin.
Once you have mixed the resin you will need a rag or a paper towel to push the tip of the repair pen into to get the resin to flow. It may take 3-4 times of pressing the tip of the pen into the rag to get the resin flowing.
Now that we have the resin flowing we can take the scratch repair pen and press the tip into the scratch and run it along the scratch with even strokes to evenly coat the scratch with resin. Once the scratch is filled in well let it sit for a bit so the resin can flow out and blend in. The resin will be dry to the touch in 10 minutes.
So we will repeat the same steps with the rest of the scratches. Press the pen in the scratch and run it along the scratch with even strokes to evenly coat the scratch. If the scratch doesn’t fully blend in it may require two coats. Once we have finished with all the scratches on the car well let the resin dry for the 10 minutes. It takes 24 hours for the resin to fully cure. We will wait the 24 hours before we take the car out and expose it to the elements.
Once the resin has fully cured for the 24 hours that’s it we have just showed you how to remove scratches from car using a scratch repair pen.
