Today we will be showing you how to replace a cabin air filter on your 2007 Nissan Sentra. Unlike the earlier models where you have to remove the glove box to replace the filter on the 2007 you gain access from the driver’s side.

To start well first grab a drop light and move the driver’s seat to the full back position to give us as much room as possible. Once we have the seat all the way back we will need to remove the kick panel on the drivers side.

To remove the kick panel you will need to pull outward on the part closer to the seat to undo the two clips. Once we have the two clips undone we can slide the entire kick panel toward the drivers seat to undo the rear clip.

With the kick panel out of the way if you look where the gas petal meets the floor you will see the cabin air filter door. To remove the air filter door you will need to grab the bottom first and pull down and then out towards the outside of the car and wiggle the top to undoing the top clip.

With the cabin air filter door removed we can now lift up on the cabin air filter and grab the lower corner and pull out removing the old cabin air filter. To install the new cabin air filter squeeze it together and slide it back into the filter housing. It will take some patience to work the filter back into position.

With the new cabin air filter installed we can now reinstall the door. To install the door push the top clip in first. Next pull downward and push in towards the center of the car to clip on the bottom. Now that we have the door on we will first turn the key to the ON position and then turn the blower motor to high. With the blower motor on high we can check the cabin air filter door to make sure it’s properly sealed.

Now that we ensured that the cabin air filter door is on properly and not leaking any air we can reinstall the kick panel. To reinstall the kick panel start by sliding it towards the front of the car and aligning the rear tab so it will go into the clip. Once we have the rear clip in we can align the front two clips and push the kick panel inwards towards the center of the car to click them in.

Once we have clicked or snapped the two clips back in so the kick panel is held in position that’s it you have just replaced the cabin air filter on your 2007 Nissan Sentra.
